Bouchard Finlayson Winery - visit our Pop Up in Hermanus

We had been looking for a wine estate in the Hermanus area with a dedicated kids play area, which is few and far between, and were excited when we heard Bouchard Finlayson had one and immediately decided to give them a visit. Arriving, we were even more impressed to hear that they offered "kids tastings", complete with snacks and drinks, as well. This ensured the kids were fully entertained and felt included while the adults could taste the different wines. We did enjoy all the wines we tasted, but be aware that their collection is mostly on the pricier side, which may not suit every budget. After our tasting, we decided to grab a light lunch, which we enjoyed as well, and soak up the amazing views. If you are planning on visiting, they have started with renovations, and therefore are currently closed, however they do have a popup now within Hermanus itself which you can check out.

We had a fantastic stop here! It was. Winters day and sat around the fire! Had some tastings and the little pairing bites were delicious! We ordered some sandwiches and a burger which were very affordable and delicious! Would highly recommend stopping here!

We visited the farm over Easter weekend 2025. We pre-booked our tasting: we did an estate pairing. The process was flawless. It was busy on arrival, we were greeted and welcomed and were able to choose a table to our liking. It was a beautiful day in the area and decided to sit outside. The views are amazing! We enjoyed the Hannibal and purchased 2 bottles. Next time we will order from the menu as this seemed to be quite a treat for other patrons. The service was exceptional, thank you Caroline and team!

What a lovely experience. Very friendly staff and very knowledgeable. We did 2 wine pairing experiences and the olive board, it was so delicious! Their wines are really good too. Definitely worth the visit and we can't wait to visit again.

An amazing venu ! Great service, awesome platter, known for their Pinot Noir wines. Must visit ! Will go back with family.

Beautiful setting and great tasting experience- you’ll need to make up your own mind on the wines but well worth a visit to find out! Friendly and knowledgeable pourer and their Hannibal is an interesting blend of Italian and French grapes.

A day at Bouchard Finlayson. We were a little taking back with the initial reception and were struggling with the wines a bit. We enjoyed the 2023 Mission Vale Chardonnay the most. The place was excellent however. Great place to hang out as a family. Large grassy area to chill. And then a phenomenal band showed up that brought it home 🙌 Takura Terry & The Rockingsouls.
