La Vierge Wines

We visited La Vierge on 21 February 2026 for what was meant to be a wine tasting, but it effortlessly turned into a beautiful lunch/brunch experience as we celebrated my fiancée’s birthday. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable — the kind of setting where you immediately feel comfortable and ready to unwind. The outdoor deck seating overlooking the valley and neighbouring farms is absolutely stunning, adding a special touch to the entire experience. Between the welcome drinks, warm hosting, and a thoughtful chef’s amuse-bouche, the day started on a high note. We enjoyed the macaron wine pairing, cured meat pairing, garlic parmesan fries, and a rib-eye steak. The macaron wine pairing was a standout — beautifully balanced and a fun, unique way to experience their wines. The rib-eye steak was equally impressive, cooked perfectly and full of flavour. You can tell care goes into both the food and the wine experience. A special shout-out to Collin, who hosted us during our tasting. His knowledge of the wines and the way he explained each pairing truly elevated the experience. The service overall was excellent — attentive, friendly, and professional without being intrusive. Pricing is fair, especially considering that many of the main menu options are designed to serve two, making it ideal for couples or shared dining. It felt like great value for the quality and setting. I would absolutely recommend La Vierge. Exploring the Cape is one of the best ways to rediscover your own city and country, and this is a perfect stop whether you're a local adventuring or a tourist discovering the area. For a birthday celebration or simply a scenic wine-and-dine outing, it delivers. Nothing negative comes to mind — just a memorable day in a beautiful setting.

Took a chance and stopped here on a trip fron Sommerset West to Agluhas - now I will have to find an excuse to visit again. The view is spectacular and is an amazing prelude to the wines and food. The staff is efficient and not intrusive and makes you feel really welcome. Truly a piece of "Heaven on Earth".

What an incredible experience at La Vierge. The staff, food, and wine are truly on another level. We would especially like to personally thank Jo-Lee for her kindness, humor, and professionalism. She was lovely! This is genuinely a must visit for anyone seeking a modern, stylish, and beyond worldly experience.

Absolutely wonderful experience at La Vierge. Of the three wine farms we have experienced outside Hermanus this weekend, this has one of the most beautiful settings and scenery. We ordered the Cheese platter and Story Teller Collection wine tasting! All worth it! Ahead of Hasher Family Wines and Creation Wines is La Vierge (imo) 🫶🏾

The most delicious wines with such cool labels! We had the steak and the trout, perfect portions for sharing and absolutely delicious. Loved the new interior look, and the view over the valley is incredible. A really special spot we’ll definitely be back to.
