Builders Express Noordheuwel

I've always found they staff at the Builders Express in Noordheuwel not very friendly so, as far as possible, I usually rather drive to the Strubensvalley branch. The Noordheuwel branch is only 1 km from my house so earlier this afternoon I decided to just pop in and get what I needed after shopping at the rest of the stores in the Valley View centre instead of driving to the other branch. Apart from the guys at the paint kiosk there where no one in any of the aisles available to assist. I needed a price for an item and finally reverted to asking for assitence from one of the paint department guys. He said that he might not be able to assist but would try. As I walked towards the aisle an employee (I was 'told' his name is Michael) suddenly appeared and started talking to the rest of the paint guys. I greeted him and ask if he could maybe assist with a price instead. He rudely told me: 'I'm on lunch!' I was shocked and asked in disbelief: 'Excuse me?' to which he simply responded again 'I'm on lunch!'. I told him that I found his response very rude and that I was a client so maybe the better response should have been: 'I'm not available to assist right now but will call someone to help you.' He did not respond and simply started walking away. The paint guys was visibly uncomfortable and offered to try and assist but I simply walked out. The branch manager Mr Venter was not in store today. I work in retail and absolutely understand that people need a break and have to eat (this was at 15:00) but honestly feel that this was very inappropriate. I just remembered again why I drive much further to other stores where you are greeted with a smile and offered assistance even before asking for help. ** Despite the initial response to the review, after 4 weeks, I have still not been contacted by anyone from Builders Warehouse. **

The staff member who assisted us was super friendly even though we didn’t find what we were looking. Everything is sorted and organised in an easy to find and understand set up. Very nice selection of items

I just left the store without buying the plants I wanted. The guy I asked advice from was not really in the mood to assist me to such an extent when I asked for a trolly in the plants area he said they outside and I must go get it. So I got in my car and they won't see me again. Ill rather drive to Lifestyle where the staff are friendly and helpful

I have never experienced such pathetic cistomer service! I enquired about the wood prices and the service consultant couldn't assist with a simple price. I was interrupting their casual conversation. What a pathetic experience

It's very dissappointing that you get to this builders Express and not get Barge boards. That is very very poor stock management. Why do you have to stock out before you order.Very Poor (Worst) management.

Not bery helpfull. I asked for a price on a certain item and was given it by 2 employees. When I got to the till it scanned diffrently. The Manager just said well sorry that is the price. Not sorry that I was given the wrong price twice and we would give it to you at that price. Not friendly at all

Builders Express Noordheuwel is a fantastic store for DIY and home projects! The staff are friendly, helpful and really know their products. The store is well stocked, easy to navigate and the prices are fair. Always a great experience shopping here — highly recommended!
