Awesome caring vets! Dr von Delft has played an instrumental role in our boy Barney's life🐾🐾 Thank you for providing excellent care to all our pets over the years.

My cat Sheldon had been run over earlier that day, upon coming home from work and finding him in what caused me great distress, EL Vet and its staff were accommodating enough to treat it as the emergency I thought it was. Upon arrival the ladies in reception managed to calm my stress unintentionally by just being calm and professional. Dr Van Welie took Sheldon to the back secret side of EL Vet to do some vitals checks and an X-ray and then called me in to show me what was going on and to explain my questions. Upon giving me a way forward of operating and the estimated costs involved I gave the go ahead and left Sheldon in their capable hands. The staff kept me updated via calls every step of the way and upon completion of a successful surgery Dr Van Welie phoned me personally to explain things and what to expect moving forward. When I fetched Sheldon and was in the front reception with him on the counter in his carrier, it became an enlightening realisation that all the EL Vet staff and doctors are truly animals first and animal centric - my cat Sheldon hates other humans, yet he had no problem with the reception ladies. This is not my first time coming to EL Vet, and it certainly won't be my last, but I felt a review is required for an excellent service and experience! Thank you!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Dr von Delft and Dr van Wielie are both very knowledgeable and have cared for both my dogs for almost 5 years. They have given the very best and accurate treatment. I highly recommend EL Veterinary Hospital. My pets are healthy thanks to them.

I had to rush my cat there for life or death situation and I explained to the vet I don't have a job and im an epileptic i only get the R350 sassa grant each month all I have is R2500 cash thats all I have I can gladly pay you off each month I was on my knees begging the vet to pls help save my cat as my cat is the only companion and company and reason for me living the vet agreed tk help and then when I came back to get my cat that evening I was told I mist pay the rest of the long nearly R10,000 in cash up front before they will let me tske my cat home with me and that for every day the cat has tk stay there till I have payed them in full they will be adding charges Okey. Tk the bill for overnight stay for mt cat making the amount even more I jad to sell everything I had literally every single thing I had I sold and I was still R2000 short after about 1 week I found out that the law states u cannot hold a peeosns animal until they habe payed if it's a life or death situation... and it was my cat was kitterallt dying in my arms the vet still stated that he has to operate immediately to save my acts life as he only had a few hours of life left... only after I complained to the vet and demanded my cat back and how this is illigal did they give my act back as well as this whole time they had my cat he was in this small cement cage abiut 90cm scared in size for all those days stuck in that small space my cat leaped out the vets arms to ckme to me when he spotted me even thou he was in so so much pain he still tried to come to me and sill hissed at the vet my cat is a rescue that I saved when he was still a kitten and he is scared of ppl it took me nearly 2 years to get him to trust me from how abused the ppl where to him that I saved him from and listen to me this cat I call him Babby he loves me and if you had to see him in peeosn you would instantly know and see that this cat is loved and loves his owner in return o and btw they also cut his balls with out asking me 1st and still added that on to the bill with out me knowing... I only went here because it was an emergency and my cat was dying in my eyes the life was draining out of his eyes I ran as fast as I could with my cat lying on a pillow in a box to try make hom comfortable as I have no transport and had to run with him thru traffic nearly getting hit by cars a few times not that I care as long as my cat is safe and happy thats all I want but ya I had tk run over a kilometer to the vet for help I have going there and only go there if I absolutely have no other choice otherwise I would never go there again in my life and im kot the only perosn they have screwd over my grandmother who I live with can tell u on 3 time how they treated her and her dogs as well as a few of her old lady friends the place has a very bad name from what I have heard from my friends and ny grandmother's friends...

My family and I have been taking our pets to EL Veterinary Hospital for over 20 years with the very best service. Both vets have been very informative and caring towards our pets. I highly recommend EL Veterinary Hospital.
