Shoprite Aliwal North

We had the misfortune of shopping at Shoprite Aliwal North. It was a hot day and their aircon just wasnt keeping up, but it had not impacted their sound system in anyway. It was like being at a live band, the music was so loud my husband and I had to shout to hear each other speak. I had such a headache by the end of it. There were boxes of half packed stuff all over the place, making it difficult to get to the fridges with the frozen food. There were some isles we didnt even bother to try and navigate the obstacle course with our trolley, so it ment a trip to the pick n pay for those items. The Pick n Pay was cool and calm by comparison. We have complained about this to various managers and to Shoprite head office but nothing really seems to be done about it. They really need to up their game, turn down the music and turn up the aircon.

Big store with everything we wanted to shop for. Clean, well stocked, friendly staff, no queues to pay. The championship wors was very tasty! Excellent parking.

The service is slow. The kiosk was left unattended as a result customers had to wait and then only after a while of waiting we were directed to another till point and had to stand inline yet again. I'm not happy with the service at all.

Best prices in town, but can do with some proper lighting.

Great shop, only downside is that the lines are getting out of hand, had to wait almost half an hour to get to a till with a line that was halfway up an isle

Workers full of bad attitude towards customers, till operators are few and then you end up spending the whole day in Shoprite standing in a Queue only to be assisted by a person who thinks is doing you a favour

Clean well laid out shop. Wide Isles. Happy pleasant Staff. Good prices.
