Private Oasis with every mod con you could need, beautiful room, fully equipped kitchen and lovely shaded outdoor seating area. The hosts were so welcoming and friendly, just what we needed after our hot long trip. The extras in the kitchen, rusks, breakfast cereals and fruit was a first ever as was the flower floating in the loo. This self catering cottage is spotless and highly recommended
My room was old and smelled mouldy from the wooden floors in bathroom and bedroom. Nothing like the advertised pictures which showed a newly renovated tiled bathroom. But the location is pretty good.
Somerset Lodge is the place to stay when you want to get away from the world. It's peaceful, quite, clean, beautiful gardens. I loved the pool. It's a real gem. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a private and classy place. Thanks David for making our stay a pleasant one.
The owner, David, was a super star. He was friendly, attentive and went beyond the call of duty to help. My husband fell ill on a Sunday at 23h00 and I knocked him up to enquire about a doctor or a hospital. First thing the next morning he was at our door to hear how my husband was doing! Thank you once again David. Somerset Lodge is a beautiful place in a quiet side of town.
Private self-catering rooms up the road from Spar, petrol station and restaurants. Kids loved the 2 small dogs on the property. The pool provided much needed relief from the heat. A quiet place to get away from the hustle & bustle of daily life.
The best host we had, went out of there way for us. Lovely place, it was very cool that day we arrived. Had a lovely warm room.
