KWIKSPAR Beacon Isle

The service at Kwikspar Beacon Isle, has completely collapsed. Four unacceptable experiences in just seven days, twice trying to buy pancakes, once trying to get coffee, and now trying to get pizza. The latest incident involving our pizza order represents an outright collapse of service, accountability, and basic customer care. We phoned and placed our order just before 6pm and were explicitly told it would be ready by 7pm. When we arrived 15 minutes early, we were shocked to learn that the order had not even been started. At 7pm, the promised collection time, it was still untouched, despite us enquiring and drawing attention to the delay. What followed was not just poor service, but a disgraceful sequence of misinformation, excuses, and outright deception, delivered without a single apology. At no point did staff take ownership of the problem, escalate it to a manager, or make any effort to prioritise an order that was already an hour overdue. Even when the manager, Unathi, eventually became involved, there was no apology, no urgency, and no attempt whatsoever to remedy the situation. This indifference from management was as concerning as the incompetence on the floor. The order was finally completed at 8pm, a full hour late, and even then, the situation deteriorated further when two pizzas had to be sent back because they were burnt. This was not a single mistake. It was a systemic failure at every possible point, from order handling, to communication, to management intervention. At every stage where this could have been corrected, the opportunity was either ignored or actively avoided. The complete lack of care shown by staff and management is unacceptable and reflects a business that has stopped valuing its customers altogether. This experience was infuriating, exhausting, and entirely preventable. Four failed experiences in a single week is not coincidence, it is a pattern, and one that demands urgent attention

Quite well stocked Spar with all of the necessities and more. It's a very fast paced store when I visited. Everyone was in a rush and nice it's relatively small, you have to pick your stuff and move to not hold things up too much. The biltong selection was quite impressive and was delicious too.

😡 DISASTER! Avoid KWIKSPAR Beacon Isle's sushi at all costs! 🐜👎 Flies were literally sitting on the sushi as it was being prepared in front of me, and the "chef" didn't even bother swatting them away 🤢. When I tried to speak to him, he just gave me a dirty look and ignored me 🤬. Don't risk eating flies with your sushi – take your business (and your appetite) elsewhere! 🛑 1/5 stars #FliesInSushi

This Kwikspar is super convenient and located on the way to Beacon Island in Plettenberg Bay. It’s easy to find and the shop is well-stocked. For a rural town, it’s open quite late, making it very convenient for those who need to buy some quick groceries. During the day, there’s also burgers prepared for a quick and cheap snack. Quality of produce is of a good standard and the service was friendly and polite.

Outstanding service with great, constant good product and friendly staff

This is by far one of the best tops @ Spar's around the EASTERN Cape region, they are fully stocked from the low end up to the high end merchandise, no wonder the were voted best store of the year since 2016. Well done

I bought that pizza special on Thursday and how disappointed I was I ordered a bacon and feta as well as.a pepperoni and it was awfull the cheese on theses pizzas tasted very sour and off or maybe it's just because they used cheap cheddar cheese reminder only cheddar cheese on the pizzas and no mozzarella or even gouda cheese only Cheddar!!!! And it's not pepperoni it's salami!!!! Very very disappointing
