Been keeping fish from 2019, but die after sometime. Come to Petworld XXL fourways mall where i bought my tank and buy more then after sometime die again, finally after more than 10times more than🤔 would just buy 2fish put them in my little pond but later die. Today as i came to buy 2new Gold fishes again i was welcomed by this friendly consult said she's Buli her name. For the first time after years visiting this store, she educated me a lot about fish keeping, a lot even when the shop had closed she still took her time explaining to me after telling me earlier to bring a sample of my tank water tested for me for free and advised me which chemicals i must use and how to properly clean the pond and change water the way. 'M definitely coming back to buy some decoration stuff. Thanks Sis Buli, your manager trained you well🙏🏿
Recently bought an acana 9.7kg which was from the special offer stock.. staff members confirmed that they were instructed to remove special price stickers from the packaging by management even though the store obviously bought at the special price and are now taking advantage of the public
I visited Petworld Fourways after receiving a voucher at the Fourways Mall Night Market and stopped by to buy some dog treats and Montego dog sauce. The cashier who assisted me was very friendly and helpful, and I was impressed by the wide selection of products in the dog aisle. However, when the cashier called over the manager, Martha, to help process the voucher, the experience changed completely. Martha did not greet me or show any friendliness at all. Her attitude was cold, dismissive, and unwelcoming, which made me feel very uncomfortable. It’s disappointing to see such poor behaviour from the manager of all people, especially in a store with such great products and otherwise lovely staff. Martha’s attitude does not reflect the warm and professional service that Petworld is known for.
As a regular customer of Petworld Roodepoort, where I have always received exceptional service from friendly and professional staff who truly embody the Petworld brand, I decided to visit Petworld Fourways to explore their live fish and purchase a few new items for my aquarium. The store itself is beautiful, clean, and very well stocked. Most of the staff were genuinely kind and eager to assist. The gentleman in the fish section was particularly outstanding, as he shared valuable knowledge and even taught me a few new things. The cashier was equally delightful, exceptionally patient, and went out of her way to guide me through the process of using my vouchers. Unfortunately, my experience was completely overshadowed by the conduct of the manager, Martha. When the system crashed, the cashier called her over for assistance. She approached the till without greeting us or acknowledging me as a customer. She did not smile, nor did she display any sense of friendliness in her attitude or body language. While assisting the cashier, I politely asked her about the grooming prices, but she ignored my question entirely. What made the situation worse was that she raised her voice at the cashier in front of me, which I found extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable to witness as a customer. Shortly after, when she realised that I had two coupons and that my total purchase was only slightly higher than their combined value, she made an unnecessarily rude comment, stating that I was "basically getting the products for free and paying nothing." Her tone was condescending and dismissive, leaving me feeling embarrassed and belittled for simply making use of a promotion offered by the store. Before visiting, I had called the store to confirm the procedure for using the vouchers and was clearly informed that there was no minimum spend required. I therefore expected a smooth and respectful transaction, yet Martha’s attitude made me feel as though I was taking advantage of something or behaving dishonestly. I found her behaviour highly disappointing, particularly from someone in a managerial position. A manager should lead by example and create a welcoming atmosphere for both staff and customers. Instead, she diminished what could have been a pleasant experience. I truly love the Petworld brand and was very impressed by the Fourways store itself, along with the helpful and knowledgeable staff members who clearly take pride in their work. However, Martha’s conduct left me feeling unwelcome and disrespected. I sincerely hope that management addresses this matter appropriately, as no customer should ever feel humiliated or undervalued, especially in such a wonderful store.
Huge store well stocked, ample parking. Being here for the first time I needed assistance however when I walked in there were no staff in sight and I was the only customer in the store at that time. Eventually after finding someone who was really unsure of the products had to find someone else to assist and from here on i found the service absolutely good. I ended up getting advice and assistance from several other staff. Very friendly staff here. Unfortunately its 4 stars due to the lack of assistance when I walked in otherwise I highly recommend this store
This used to be the best place to find all your pet needs but sadly it's gone backwards not as friendly sadly not as much fun to go there anymore.
We just happened to be referred by another pet store who didn’t stock the rat enclosure I was looking for and I’ll honestly never shop anywhere else after having been to Pet World XXL (the one on Cedar / Witkoppen). We were blown away by the huge variety of products and how clean, neat and spacious everything was. What made the trip unforgettable though was Gabi, who specializes in small animals. Gabi has the most amazing, caring way with them all and takes such pride in the environment they’re kept in. We were there for ages and she was so patient and helpful and definitely goes far beyond what would be expected and you can see it’s because she loves the animals and wants to set them (and you) up for success. Thank you for the most amazing experience. We love our girls so much already (yes, we left with more than just an enclosure and landed up with two of Gabi’s very lovable and affectionate "kissy" fancy rats 😜)
