Northmead Veterinary Clinic

Extremely poor service. I arrived on on years eve & waited 20 minutes for them to open when I had a time critical situation with my dog that ultimately died. When my son finally made enough noise to wake them up the vet couldn't carry my dog because he had a bad shoulder??? They were happy to take the the R3700 and I never heard from them about the ashes. I've had to chase it up???? After losing a family member...probably due to their delay...its not acceptable. Take your baby elsewhere...to people that actually like animals

Beyond dissapointed at the heart of this vet. Recommended by all rescue centers in our area however our experience... The vet wouldnt even look at or treat a poisoned WILD STRAY cat that we rescued without a R4000 deposit. So we bite our tongues to save a life. 5yrs of trying to catch this stray, 4 litters later. So we tell him we will pay to have her sterilized. Knowing she is NOT OUR PET BUT A STRAY you would think he would rethink his fees... On collection before we can take her out the vet ANOTHER R1500 for the sterilization. So to save a stray animal... R5500 in vet bills, R1500 in meds for tetanus and antibiotics and attacked twice because they still didnt believe she was not our flippen pet. Disgusting that money comes before saving a life. Never in my life will i support this vet again.

Thank you to the vets and personel for your kind assistance when I brought in my Peki girl very late on Wednesday evening 15 Oct '25 with an emergency abcess that caused a lot of pain. We were seen immediately. Costs were very reasonable and I collected Liefie the next morning after the abcess was drained under anaesthesia. Post op visits was quick and thorough. Your friendliness and efficiency made such a difference and I will always reccommend this 24 hour Vet Clinic.

Friendly, very helpful staff. The Vet was very gentle with me furry baby. Explained everything regarding my dogs health and gave me various options for treatment. I will definitely recommend Northmead Veterinary Clinic.

This vet has no heart for the work that he is supposed to be doing. It only goes for him about money. Will rather let a puppy die than sorting out a bill later. Sitting for an hour with a casping for air puppy but he is in no hurry. Will not recommend this cruel and heartless vet to anybody. Think twice before driving there.

My experience at this veterinary clinic was very disappointing. The service was slow, and upon arrival there was no staff available to assist us. After waiting for some time, we were told to return another day, despite the fact that my pet required attention. When we were eventually seen, the vet did not explain any of the procedures being performed. He also instructed us to hold our pet during the treatment, even though he was clearly distressed and crying. This felt unprofessional, and unsafe for both us and our pet. As a result of the way he was handled, my pet was injured. Overall, due to the lack of communication, poor handling, and multiple errors during the visit, I do not recommend this clinic.
