Today our little heartbeat in fur, Lulu, is coming home. 🐾❤️ This year has been a miracle and a test all at once. Our brave girl has faced more than any of us could bear—severe ear and brain infections, days heavy with worry, and nights spent praying that she would hold on. Through every challenge, she wore courage in her tiny paws and a stubborn spark in her eyes that said, "I’m not done yet." Yesterday, she underwent a surgery to help her breathe easier, a beacon of hope in the quiet moments of fear. Thank you, God, for guiding the surgeons, for watching over her, and for pulling her through when we prayed with every beat of our hearts. Thank you, Lord Jesus Christ, for the gift of another morning and another chance to love her. We are endlessly grateful for the care and expertise of Dr. Christo du Plessis and Dr. Piet Louw in Bethlehem. You have been god-sends to our family, and your hands have brought Lulu back to us. Our hearts rest a little lighter tonight knowing she’s in such capable, compassionate care. This morning, we fetch our girl from the hospital with grateful tears in our eyes and a home full of quiet anticipation. We can already feel the warmth of her presence returning—the soft look in her eyes, the familiar nudge of her nose, the way her breathing is steadier and more hopeful. Our dogs are our children, and life with them—Kush, who we lost just a few short months ago after a spinal injury, and Lulu—has taught us the depth of love, resilience, and the pain of goodbyes. Kush’s memory remains a guiding light in our home, and Lulu carries her spirit with every wag and cuddle. Lulu has shown us what it means to endure, to love without limits, and to treasure simple moments—a wagging tail, a cuddled nap, a gentle sigh of relief after a long night. We are forever grateful for the medical angels, for the loyal friends and family, and for a little dog who has the resilience of a warrior and the heart of a saint. Welcome home, sweet Lulu. We love you more than words can say. 💕🐶

This was one of the saddwst days of my life as I had to see my sweet pet depart from the earth. I was met by two young, but most compassionate you veterinarians, who were the ultimate in support and understanding my farewell.

A truly amazing practice. My cat was very badly injured by someone and Doctor Louw came out to his practice at 20.00 to see her, all with a caring word and a smile on his face. I am so very grateful to him and his wonderful team for looking after my baby.
