My experience at this veterinary practice was one of the most alarming and unacceptable encounters I have ever had with any medical practice - human or animal. Despite calling ahead to make it clear that we were on our way with an emergency, it genuinely felt as though no preparation whatsoever had been made when we arrived. The lack of urgency upon our arrival was also shocking and, in my view, completely inappropriate for an emergency situation. From the moment we entered, the communication was poor and the atmosphere felt indifferent. The staff members who attended to my dog appeared disengaged and worked slowly. For a pet in distress, this was extremely unsettling. What I observed during the consultation left me deeply concerned. I did not witness the basic emergency checks I would expect from any competent veterinary practice. Watching my dog struggle while nothing meaningful seemed to be happening, was terrifying. I acknowledged that I was not a vet, and when I tried to ask reasonable questions about what was being done to better understand, I was met with responses that felt rude, defensive, and dismissive. At a time when I was already desperate and afraid for my pet, the attitude by the staff was completely unacceptable. The lack of empathy and basic courtesy was staggering. I was also taken aback by the costs charged (in the thousands), particularly because the treatment plan was unclear and poorly communicated. Despite my repeated requests for clarity, the staff essentially refused to communicate and appeared to become frustrated the moment I tried to understand more about what was happening. Additionally, I want to be clear that I was very polite and when I asked questions, I waited for appropriate times to do so. I did not attempt to pester the staff whilst they worked on my pet. When I rushed my dog to our usual vet afterwards, we received a far more thorough assessment, including additional medication that had not even been mentioned earlier as an option - despite me asking for the various options available from Wifield. For me, this confirmed my fear that the initial care may not have been sufficient for my dog’s condition. I understand that some vet practices may have more capabilities than others. But the attitude of this staff stunned me in the worst possible way. I left this practice feeling horrified, angry, shaken, and genuinely concerned about the standard of care being provided to pets. I will never ever return, especially not in an emergency, and I strongly encourage other pet owners to consider my experience when deciding where to seek urgent help for their animals. I feel strongly that had I not removed my pet when I did that my pet would have died. I am sharing this because, in my opinion, the seriousness of what I encountered cannot be overstated and is totally unacceptable. No person should have to experience this whilst their furkid is going through something so traumatic. No pet should be treated the way my baby was treated.

We had to take our precious dog to the vet last night, after hours, and all I can say it that their service was fantastic. The 2 gents that dealt with us were extremely compassionate and so good with Emma, as well as us, as we had a very heartbreaking and difficult decision to make. Thank you gents, we know that Emma was treated with the respect, love and care that she deserved in her final breaths.

Thought my cat had a bad eye infection, they gave me drops and didn't work so send my son to a sister company to take MRI scan to see what they dealing with. Next day operated and my cat had a ver rare infection in this mouth that caused the eye to swell out of preposition. My cat is now back to normal. Didn't even charge me for extra for the other consolation just the 1st one. As my dog was there the month before so spend alot of money but worth it. GREAT SERVICE THANKS GIRLS

My wife took our pitbull to this vet and she just ask if the doctor can just have a very quick check if she has eye infections but they told her we have to pay a consultation fee for like just to check i mean we would have taken the medication. Thanx alot for not helping not just to check.

Having been a patron of this place for multiple decades, through different receptionists and doctors, I can safely say that it is a top quality vet. Everyone is warm and friendly but professional. Whether you're getting a puppy or kitten inoculated or taking an old friend for the final goodbye, the people at the witfield vet give good advice and support.
