Alphen Veterinary Hospital

This is an absolutely outstanding vet. All staff are exceptionally friendly and communicative, making each visit seamless and reassuring. Dr Virginia, specifically, is patient, kind, and treats animals with excellent care and empathy. This clinic is cat-friendly and provides world-class care. Would highly recommend!

I’ve been bringing my dog Jasper to Alphen Veterinary Hospital over the past few months, since he became gravely unwell. The veterinarians who have treated him have each been knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely caring, and the wider team has been consistently welcoming and supportive. The care and compassion they’ve shown towards Jasper, who is living with liver disease, has been extraordinary. From managing his treatment to explaining everything clearly, they have gone above and beyond. In the 10 years I’ve had Jasper, this has been by far the best veterinary experience — the service has been outstanding, and his quality of life has improved enormously thanks to their dedication.

On Monday, our 8 week old pup, Archie tested positive for pravo. It’s every new pup owners worst nightmare. We are incredibly grateful that Archie recovered very quickly. However, we cannot thank everyone (Dr Rose, the incredible vet nurses and reception staff) at Alphen enough for their kindness, compassion and care this last week. We felt so at ease knowing that he was getting the best care. Highly recommend!

The most welcoming and encouraging group of veterinary practitioners professionals experts and staff out of this world in the care for animals 😀

Our experience at Alphen vet has been positive. The staff are kind and friendly and Dr Rose is very accommodating and knowledgeable. Of course going to the vet can be stressful for human and pup, but their calm atmosphere and garden help to make it as good as it can be.

Thank you Alphen for looking after our baby. What an absolutely amazing experience is was. My dog had a hole in her tooth so I sent an email to Alphen and was told that I can bring her in on Saturday for a free checkup, meet and greet. On arrival we were greeted by the most friendliest receptionists who gave our dog so many treats and even offered us coffee. The Dr then came through and took a look at our dog. Our dog normally shakes and shivers a lot but the vet gave her more treats and she calmed right down. She checked her teeth and did a basic health check. We decided to do a full pre surgery blood panel that same day to see if she is fit for surgery. We also got all the cost estimates upfront for the dental surgery + blood work. When we left we were given a bunch of gifts and treats. Later that day I got a phone call to ensure me that the blood tests look good and that we can go ahead with the surgery from that Monday. When we arrived on Monday, the Dr admitted our dog, ran a few more tests, explained the procedure, explained her blood tests and also gave my dog a calming injection to make her sleepy and relaxed. To see my dog no longer nervous and have no more shivers was the most reassuring feeling in the world. The entire day I knew I did not have to worry about our baby becomes she was been taken care of. Lastly the cost of the surgery was very close to the cost estimate even though they had to pull out 4 more teeth. Thanks very much. I'm glad I found a vet that I can trust.

Helpful, friendly service. Peanut and I had a great experience.
