Friendly, professional service with a smile. Our pets are our best friends more often than we think. They deserve best treatment even if it comes at a price. Happy to recommend Blue Cross Vet.

Yet again a disappointing experience. I asked for a budget quote for a Rhinoscopy and was told that I have to come in for a consult. This is after I already have a referral to perform rhinoscopy from another vet that doesn’t offer this procedure. Same arrogance as always.

My experience at this vet was one of the worst I’ve had to date. A trip to the vet is stressful enough, and unfortunately, the way we were treated made it far worse. We brought our cat in because he was in visible pain. After taking bloods and performing a scan, the vet confirmed something was wrong and decided to keep him overnight for further monitoring and to perform surgery the following morning. However, the next day we received no update on his condition. We were told to wait for lab results, but instead of receiving a phone call with clear information, we were told "not to worry" and that the vet would be in touch. The vet never followed up, and we had to physically go back to the clinic to get feedback. When we confronted him about this, his response was that we should have assumed "no news is good news." To put this in perspective—we had no idea whether our cat had a week to live or if his condition was treatable. This lack of communication, combined with what we felt was incompetence and arrogance, left us deeply distressed. When we raised our concerns, the vet simply told us: "Well then take your pet elsewhere," and refused to provide further guidance on how to treat our cat’s condition. We have since moved to a new veterinary practice, where the professionalism and care have been a complete contrast. I could not recommend a vet less than Blue Cross, Newlands.

Nice clean animal hospital. Shop is well stocked. Staff are competent and friendly, I was seen on time. Doctor was quick and efficient, answered all my questions very well, didn't scare my pup(she didn't even know she was getting an injection) and didn't shame me for not knowing things. My pup was treated gently and very well. Pricing is reasonable. Parking is good. They also cut her nails and did not charge me. I recommended giving them a visit.

The staff in the rehab center are phenomenal. They really know how to make you and your pet feel welcome. I have a very energetic GSD and they know how to handle him so well (and he adores them too). They're very professional and accommodating. Such a cool group of people to work with.

The vet I had for many years retired and I needed to find a new practice for my 3 dogs. Somehow, I ended up coming to Blue Cross and I am so glad I did. The vets are really friendly and amazing with my animals. They have really been so good to me and my dogs over the last year, and I can’t recommend them highly enough.
