Nando's Rondebosch

Nando's is usually known for its delicious, juicy, and flavourful food, which is why I was quite disappointed with my recent experience. The meal I received was dry, the onions were undercooked, and there was little to no sauce. My friends and I (a group of four) all ordered the same option and unfortunately had the same experience- the rice tasted rushed and overall the dish lacked the usual Nando’s quality. I ordered the Halloumi and Avo Boojie Bowl, and as you can see in the picture, it was quite dry and not as expected. On the positive side, the service was good- the staff were friendly and the food came out fairly quickly, so the waiting time wasn’t long at all. Still, I was very disappointed in the food this time around, especially given how consistent Nando’s usually is. I did not get to finish my food as it was not enjoyable, so sad to see such a potential bowl go to waste 🙁 Note this picture was taken right after I had opened it. Date visited: 01/11/2025 at 18:15

Service was friendly and timely. Food was tasty and ambiance was great. Prices were alright as well. Only wish was that the dessert was served later in the meal so we could enjoy it more fresh. I guess we should have ordered it later instead of all at once.

I’ve tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but after ordering multiple times, I can confidently say the quality has gone downhill. Each time, the food arrives in poor condition - burnt chicken, soggy and odd-smelling rice, and packaging that looks like it’s been through a lot. At first, I let it slide, thinking it was just a bad day. But after the second and now third time, it’s clear there’s a consistent lack of care. Really disappointing experience overall.

A good restaurant with reasonable seating place

Ordered on Mr D and still managed to get my order wrong. There's no room for miscommunication because it's not on person, all they have to do is look at which buttons I pressed for my order and still somehow managed to get it wrong. If it happened once I'd understand that mistakes happen but this is the second time in 3 days.

I have always loved Nando’s but twice now, a month ago and yesterday 08 Feb 2026 we ordered uber eats from Rondebosch Nando’s. Taste was great but both times we had viscous diarrhoea and nausea after eating it. A checkup on this restaurant is needed. We will order from them again.

The level of unhygienic practices in this branch is appalling. The staff talk non stop over the food laughing, saliva spraying all over!, touching their face and then handling food without gloves. I witness someone dig inside their ears and handle the chips with their hands. @Nandos management and owner, please do better. I really like this store but its not giving me that 100% customer service experience.
