We recently had to euthanise our beloved dog, and the vet and staff were incredibly compassionate and kind. They treated our dog with dignity and gave us the time we needed to say goodbye. We’re truly grateful for their care during such a difficult time.
Friendly, accommodating, great vets and the most cost effective veterinary services you'll find in JHB! Heritage comes from SPCA and AACL so they're not in the business to rip you off. Other vets quote 3 x more for the same procedure. Thank goodness for them!!
We had the most incredible experience with the vet; Sashen, his assistants, the receptionist and even the beautiful man who looks after the cars parked out front yesterday, 17 November 2025, at Oakdene Veterinary Clinic. The time had sadly arrived for us to have our beloved dog, Duke, put to sleep. The gentleness, compassion and empathy shown and extended to us was truly remarkable. From us, to each and everyone of you, a big Thank You for everything during what was an extremely painful and upsetting time.
Sent our cat in for a teeth cleaning, vet was confident he wouldn't need any teeth pulled. They don't communicate at all, so we had a fun surprise when we came to pick him up that he had 6 teeth pulled. NO-ONE told us anything. We found out about the extractions from the invoice. All the secretary said to us was "since he's had dental work, he will need to be on soft food for a couple days". That is the extent of information we got. We called them when we got home and she was incredibly rude and dismissive and gave us no more info. The place isn't close to what is once was. Anything could happen when they do a procedure on your pet and they will not communicate it to you.
This Vet is an absolute legend. Sasha saved my dogs life and didn’t hesitate to help. This is a vet who really cares about Dogs and nothing more to it. Thank you
The only vet I trust. I travel all the way from Bedfordview to ensure my dogs get the best care. It is also very affordable.
