We are moving back to the Western Cape after working elsewhere, and we needed to find a vet for our kids. Our basset boy needed to have a dental with extractions and a nail trim. Right from booking the consult, to meeting the Dr, having the procedure done all the way to the aftercare. We were even given his first meal when he came home. They are incredible. We are so grateful. The best vet ever.

This is hands down the best Veterinary Clinic I have ever been to. The support staff are very helpful and friendly. It is obvious the people in this clinic loves animals. Keep at it! December 2024 was challenging for my two Boston Terriers but Herman and his Team was there every step of the way

The best vet on the garden route! Dr Herman is amazing with my two anxious boys and makes them feel at ease. Absolutely LOVE that they have separate cat and dog consult rooms. It makes such a difference to safe guarding emotional and behavioural health.

I visited the Vet with my staffie last week. I was super impressed with the communication via email and easy access to online booking. The staff is friendly and helpful and the Vet is professional. Prices are also very reasonable. I would highly recommend George Rex Veterinary Clinic.

Hi just want to ad a review regarding your prices. Just really disgusting. We took our Jack Russel in for something small and the BILLL was R 1800. I quest you feel good about it cause you are making really Good money for charging ridiculous prices. You should rather reply with WOW I MADE REALLY GOOD MONEY FOR DOING ALMOST REALLY NOTHING. Because I care much more about money than honesty and having respect for myself Enjoy your disgraceful money but remember that Karma wil find you and going to make you pay. Even Karma will Wright a review for you saying He was glad to help you pay for ripping people off . AAAAAMEN

I've been to dozens of vets across the Western Cape and six on the Garden Route. Dr Steenkamp's knowledge and approach not only impressed me, they immediately helped my animals (one of whom has multiple serious, chronic conditions). Unlike many vets, Herman also listens, which means your familiarity with and observation of your animal family can be part of the solution.
