île de païn is such a beautiful restaurant—bright, airy, and filled with lots of natural light (July 30, 2025). The warm wood, clean lines, and open bakery counter create an inviting, relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to linger. The food was outstanding. We loved the indulgent French toast, the flavorful smoked mackerel tartine, and the buttery croissant with soft scrambled eggs. The iDP toasted ham & cheese was perfectly crisp and melty, and the homestead livers were rich and comforting. Everything was so good we went back the very next day. A lovely space with unforgettable food..
The service was excellent, and the food was absolutely incredible. The coffee was delicious—I tried the cappuccino and it was perfectly made. The pastries were on a whole different level: truly amazing and super tasty. I tried the almond croissant, the avocado egg dish, the chocolate croissant, and the cinnamon roll—each one was better than the other. The place is wonderful and definitely worth a visit.
We stopped for a lunch and it was delicious. I had the poppey salad and added some fried halloumi, which I can really recommend doing. Great combination and something so new and refreshing. I love the concept of the place. Service was amazing.
Ingenious menu creations and constantly keeping with the trends, whilst preserving their classics, like the IDP Ham & Cheese toastie. This pistachio sago and fruit mix was FANTASTIC!
Very nice decoration and style It’s always crowded and the service is very low and they forget a lot .. it took them 30 min to hear 2 sandwiches for takeaway .. The sandwiches are delicious I didn’t have the time to wait or to set and try other options The outside area is nice to set
Unreal breakfast - halloumi bruschetta was outstanding and the Vietnamese coffee was ace! Really recommend. Queue was quite long so recommend putting your name down early.
This was our second time visiting. The previous was pre pandemic. This time it was very busy. There was a twenty minute wait for a table but it was pleasant sitting on the benches waiting. When our table became available we were seated and given our menus. We could only order breakfast as it was before 11h30. Or coffees and teas came first and there was about another 20 minute wait before the food arrived. We did not mind because we were sitting comfortably under a tree chatting. When our food arrived it was picture perfect. The ingredients were fresh and the flavour was rich. We had such a pleasant breakfast experience, we can see why this place is so in demand. Well worth the visit.
