Wild Clover Cottages

Overall a lovely stay. The staff were super helpful and friendly. The rooms were simple but well positioned to catch the sunset. Very warm on the patio as the afternoon sun goes down, but this is a small sacrifice for the beautiful views and wild gane that you can see. Well located to access all in Stellenbosch. Good braai facility in each unit. Only downside for us was that the beds were slightly hard but that is just our personal preference. I would recommend a visit.

For our anniversary we decided to just do an overnight stay with our two sons at Wild Clover Farm. Our accommodation was simple but completely comfortable. The view of the wildlife reserve that backs onto the farm was spectacular. We were looking straight onto the watering hole and had the joy of seeing giraffe, zebra, spring buck, gemsbok to name a few. We watched the most incredible sunset. The patio area was private and pretty complete with outdoor braai. Our evening was spent star gazing and our boys just loved it! There is also a small bespoke brewery a few 100 meters from the cottages and we took a walk to purchase some craft beers which were so reasonably priced and delicious. The farm also offers horse riding but we didn't get a chance to do that. The cottage is self catering but there is a brilliant child friendly restaurant on site as well where we enjoyed a scrumptious breakfast with excellent service from Elijah. Our kids enjoyed the gorgeous outdoor play area while we waited for our food. This accommodation suits small and/or young families as the cottages are not very big. The cottage was well equipped with all that was needed to make our stay pleasant. All in all a lovely stay and we came home feeling as if we had been away the whole weekend.

This is a lovely place for kids. Great play area and safe. The kitchen opens at 12:00 and they serve pizza and burgers. The Wild Clover Brewery is situated behind the restaurant and their beers are superb. The restaurant used to sell their beer, but yesterday didn't have any. We had to go buy the beer at the brewery and take it back to the restaurant. We would have stayed at the brewery but the kids wanted to play. I would give the restaurant 5 stars if they start selling the beer again 😉

Visited this very interesting farm this morning 2 April 2017. A very good menu to suit all tastes. Kiddies menu also available. Pizzas also available. Alcoholic beverages also available. The venue could also be hired for special functions. Prices are very reasonable. Live music on a Sunday from 14h00. Great outing for families.

We spent two wonderful evenings on the farm.||The cottage was very comfortable and best of all were the beautiful sunsets from our large stoep.||Life couldn't get better than that! A nice ice cold glass of wine, sunset, Table Mountain in the distance (surprisingly near when it feels like you're far out in the countryside!) and loads of animals at the water hole! ||What a fantastic time we had! The horse ride was great fun with beautiful scenery, we enjoyed our pizzas and the accommodation was really lovely too. ||Our only problem was that the wood was quite wet, so we battled a bit with the fire, but besides that, no complaints.

We rented all the cottages for the week-end of 23 March 2018. It was a perfect choice as it was only 7km from Muldersvlei Estate where our son had his wedding. Prutty went out of her way to make us feel at home. The animals in the reserve on the other side of the fence came up close enough for us to photograph them - giraffe, various buck and huge tortoises. We could see the zebra further down. The cottages were perfect for our large group, comfortable and with everything we needed. The farm is peaceful with beautiful views of the mountains and the city in the distance. We all had lunch at the Brewery once we had vacated our cottages. Everyone had burgers which were delicious, the service excellent and friendly, - good value for money. Despite being away for a short, busy week-end, we returned home feeling relaxed and happy. Certainly plan to return but will remember to pack the binoculars next time.

Nice relaxed and family-friendly venue with high chairs and a changing area. Food was tasty and reasonably priced. Service was slow (more because they are so busy) but friendly and knowledgeable. Live music good but a little loud for our table.
