Esplanade Hermanus

We booked the sea facing apartments which have great views of the ever changing ocean. There is a road in front but it's not busy and is very quiet at night. Balcony is a good size, lounge area is spacious with a kitchenette and dining area. Bedroom hasn't a view other than onto a corridor but its very quiet. Shower, toilet is a bit cramped but who stays in long? Good wifi. Whole complex was clean and very safe, including parking. Didn't use the pool area. The stars of the place though, besides the views, are the staff who are super friendly and genuinely helpful.

We were able to secure a booking after our airbnb cancelled at last minute, the units are very modern, spacious and well equipped. Great location and central to great restaurants. Thank you for your great service, we look forward to having many happy returns in the future.

Our rooms were fantastic, felt like a home away from home. Had all the amenities one would need. The staff and service was impeccable. The staff was friendly and professional. Our first choice if we stay in Hermanus.

We had a fantastic 4N stay at Esplanade Hermanus at the waterfront. So close to everything and this is probably the best serviced accomodation we have ever stayed. Our 2 bedroom pool view apartment is very well designed, clean and fully equipped . We made breakfast and supper at the property almost everyday. The biggest winner is the excellent team, making sure everything is up to mark and always ready to help. I left behind a leather jacket , they called us and made an arrangement to get it delivered. Thanks a lot! 💯

The place looks lovely, although I can't say for sure as we never stayed there. Their comms were fine, but sadly they were totally unflexible when it came to shortening our tripe by one day. It suggested on the website that it was a 10% charge for cancelled/ammended bookings before a certain date, but I didn't realise it was 10% of the ENTIRE booking as opposed to 10% of the day we were cancelling. Ie. If we booked for anything over 10 days, cancelling 1 day would be a less refund than the cost of that day. A total joke of a policy. Essentially, the longer you stay (and the more you spend). the more you get punished for cancelling 1 day. Absurd! As a result I cancelled the entire trip so I can spend my money with somewhere more worthy! Pls enjoy my money you've received for doing absolutely nothing! So... 2 stars, because I bet the place is great (it looks lovely), but they need a bad review to encourage them to be a bit more considerate in the future.

Great upgrade to this place. Staff excellent very friendly. Clean, spacious and modern. Loved the partial sea views in room 215. Was surprised to have the view, as they said thats incorrect when we booked. It has a hotel like feel. Fully equiped kitchen with a lovely gas braai on the spacious balcony. Decent pool for kids. Will definitely return. Very central you dont need a vehicle, very close to everything. Secure basement parking.

The apartment was absolutely perfect for the 5 of us. The view was stunning and the apartment itself was cleaned and everything was in order. There was absolutely nothing out of place. Panache who greated us as we drove to the front was friendly and cheerful and directed us to the indoor parking area and that was awesome as we were concerned about parking on the road. We are definitely going to return again next year. Location was great as we were able to walk to the restaurants we wanted.
