Good overall. Great selection of goodies to buy and best drywors for miles. We had steak for lunch. We did not want any sauces eg mushroom, cheese or pepper (unfortunately we didn't realise it came with a basting sauce regardless) so if you dont want anything like us say no basting sauces on the meat) The fillet was very good and really good chips. Coffee was real afrikaanse Coffee- dark and strong. I had to ask for extra hot water and milk to tone it down.
A perfectly quirky diner and shop filled with some excellent, exciting and unique products and gifts. Everything is very well priced and drinks cold and plenty. The food was tasty. The service was friendly and efficient. Pet friendly too for well behaved dogs on their lead. Great place to stop along your journey.
Great little Padstal just outside Beaufort West Food was not bad, milk shakes were really good we also had karoo lamb chops with chips and salad. Interesting items for sale in the store
Boeteka Padstal offers a warm, authentic taste of the Groote Karoo — nestled among olive trees, near a yellow windpump, this charming farm stall is a must-visit for local flavour and true farm-style hospitality. Try their droëwors.
A queer little place, interesting and unique. It looks quite neglected and could do with a spring-clean, but bathrooms are clean and food is good and affordable. Worth a visit.
The Boeteka Padstal has everything you expect from a farm stall including preserves, biscuits, curios and a restaurant. We visited them as I was recommended to get some of their Karoo Lamb Chops for our "braai" (barbecue) that evening by a friend who comes from the area. Although the chops were frozen the lady helped us select the freshest pack (packed that morning) and they were very tasty. They are about 10 minutes from the N1 turn off so it might be just out of the way for some, but if you are looking to explore a bit you can definitely give them a try.
A beautiful oasis in the middle of the Karoo. Fantastic Karoo lamb on offer, and some amazing mouth watering local home made products.
