Donkin House

4 bed Room #20... was nice and clean with a small kitchenette and bathroom with shower. Bed was very nice with good quality bedding which provided a good night's rest. Breakfast was good ....but the service and willingness to assist to our dietary requirements was amazing...will definitely use this place to stay over again . just a side note: room #20 is next to the road which can be distracting when a big truck passes.....but nothing too alarming

Based on ratings, stopped over for a night. Perhaps due to good ratings, we had higher expectations, plus it was old years eve, but we were very disappointed. Room and linen were all clean, and it had most of what you need for a single night, secure parking, but everything is old, outdated, and in need of refurbishing. If you're OK with this, all good. No food was available on this night, or next morning, but this was not an issue for us.

The location where this Donkin House situated is Outstanding 👏👌. Which is main road when you entere this town. Really it's a great location that can access very quickly to the most of the shops and other amenities like petrol ⛽️ Garage, Quick shop, restaurant and Museum and all... This Guest House has over 40 units from single to Family units. Its quite a bigger size property with very good interior design and atmosphere 👌. The management and the staff were very friendly and well-mannered. They always resd to help their customers at any time. The reception is 24 hours service so it's convenient to all the customers if they need anything anytime. Specially the staff name Amenda so helpful from the time of booking and until check in. She explained very well and helped us to smooth check in and settle downs. The swimming 🏊‍♂️ pool was very dirty and needed to be taken care and service all the time. My children want to go to the pool but when we went there found there were lots of insects 🐛 🪰 🐝 🐞🐜🪳🦗🕷🦟 in the water and color also looks very dirty. So they didn't swimming due to avoid getting sick. Management has to consider to concentrate on the swimming 🏊‍♂️ pool also so that customers can use that. The rooms are ok and worth for that pricing they charging. It's better if they consider to the quality of the soap 🧼 that they giving. The soaps 🧼 are non scented and not even melting in the water. It's seems like low quality soap 🧼 or some problem while from manufacturer side. Overall I want gives 5 star rating but due to the 2 problem that I mentioned above (Swimming 🏊‍♂️ pool and the Soap) i can give 4 star 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 ratings only with fairly. The highlight of the place is very neat and clean 👌 ✨️ 👏. The management taking care of this place very well and its better if they consider the Swimming 🏊‍♀️ pool also.

Coming from another hotel in West Beaumont, where we encountered a negative experience, the contrast could not be bigger. Donkin House not only looked nice on the outside, also the interior was nice and very well maintained. The room was huge and more important, it was clean and well taken care of. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We asked to have dinner, they wanted to know what we liked and then the kitchen staff made us a buffet……for 2. Typical South African dishes for my husband, fish and salad for me, plus 2 different desserts. And not only that, it was simply delicious.

Donkin House offers reliable comfort, genuine hospitality, and exceptional dining, making it a highly recommended choice for both business and leisure travelers. I would rate it five stars and plan to return on future trips through the area.

This guesthouse was awesome. I was here with my family. The bed was comfortable. The food was a little small but its fine it was filling for me Service 5/5 so nice and friendly I could come here any time again

We came for a mission trip with my student nursing group and the stay was amazing!! The scenery is amazing, the food was amazing. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The rooms are great I love the rustic vibe. Thanks so much to housekeeping for keeping our room tidy and refreshing our towels, it definitely made it feel like I was home. I would most definitely come back to stay. Recommend 10/10.
