Situated in the main street when you entering the Beaufort west town from North to South in the main round circle side area. So this is the main place to stop over here for anyone those want to fill petrol ⛽️ or Diesel ⛽️ for their vehicles and there is the shop and Wimpy restaurant to have anything wants. Always this place is very very busy and over crowded. There are many Engen 1 stop in South Africa 🇿🇦 but this is the only place that I have seen worst in dirty 🤧... The management and the owner only money minded which are want to make more money 💰 🤑 💸 from the customers but not taking care of this place. The toilets 🚻 are next to the Wimpy dinning 🍽 area but the Urine bad smells 🤮 everywhere in the dinner 🍽 side also. The toilets 🚻 are terrible so dirty 😫 😪 😩. We were there over 2 hours but didn't see not even one staff to clean the restroom snd toilets. I don't know why the management or the owner not considering to allocate or appointing 2 or 3 workers to take care of the cleaness of this place and the restroom. The toilets the shop and the Wimpy restaurant are very dirty. I am thinking how are they renewing the food licensing every year 🤔 when its not clean and dirty like this. 🚫🚫🚫 if anyone want to safe travels without getting food poisoning better to avoid eats from at this dirty Wimpy and just fill the fuel ⛽️ only and move on ⛔️⛔️⛔️

topped here while travelling and had two very different parts to the experience. The toilets were disappointing, with a design and level of privacy that felt more like public beach toilets than a proper petrol station stop. The petrol attendant who helped me, however, gave excellent service. I filled up a full tank, and when my petrol card gave problems, he waited patiently for more than twenty-five minutes while I sorted it out, staying calm and professional the whole time. I didn’t get his name, but he deserves real recognition for how he handled it. Because of him the stop was manageable, even though the toilets need serious improvement. A fair overall rating is three stars.

We where waiting for our car to be finished repaired. They aloud us to wait in the Wimpy with our luggage for about 4 hours. The Wimpy supervisor and staff where great. Thank you to you all. I advise people to support them. There food, beverage and service is great. It is going for 3 weeks back this happened.

I was traveling using an Intercape bus on the 25th of November 2025, we stopped at your gargle at around 1am give or take, I then went in to purchase a 500ml bottle of water one of the ladies behind the counter told me it R20 without scanning it at the counter its retail price wasn't R20 I saw its sticker before I took it. Felt like I was buying at a local spaza shop no slip as she didn't scan the product. Took the 20 for herself is my best guess as she didn't open the register I would look into it if I were you guys.

I visited this Engen 1 Stop specifically to charge our electric vehicle, only to find both dedicated EV charging bays occupied by petrol vehicles. The white Toyota Urban Cruiser, which is not and EV charging vehicle, sat parked at the EV charging station whilst the driver presumably went shopping or had a meal. What makes this situation worse is the complete indifference from the garage security staff. When we arrived, security personnel were present but did nothing to prevent these inconsiderate drivers from blocking access to essential infrastructure. When we had to personally ask the second offending driver to move, security simply stood by and watched, utterly failing in their duty to manage the facility properly. These charging stations exist for a reason. They represent critical infrastructure for EV drivers on long journeys, particularly on routes like the N1. Unlike petrol vehicles that can refuel in five minutes at any pump, EVs require specific charging equipment and considerably more time. This matters even more because there are precious few charging alternatives along this route. When the only available charging station is blocked by inconsiderate parking, EV drivers face genuine range anxiety and potential stranding. To the management: your security staff need clear instructions to enforce parking regulations in EV bays. These spaces should be treated with the same seriousness as disabled parking bays. They serve a specific, necessary function. To fellow drivers: if your vehicle doesn't plug in, these spaces are not for you. Full stop. Until this garage demonstrates it can properly manage its charging facilities, EV drivers should consider this stop unreliable for their journey planning.
