Shell Ultra City - Three Sisters

This Shell Ultra City is such an iconic fuel station on the N1, and I must say during my recent visit I had an overall good experience. It is a large station which is well-equipped to handle high traffic volumes, and thanks to their friendly staff the process was efficient and painless. If you are looking to grab something to eat or drink, they have a nice Steers, Vida e Cafe, and well-stocked shop, ensuring most of your needs are met. Their bathrooms were clean, and they have an outside kids' play area to allow the little ones to blow off some steam as well.

Giving a slightly negative rating based on 1 reason only. Although petrol prices are regulated according to government gazette the diesel price isn't so even though the petrol and diesel price has significantly dropped over December and January this garage still charges more than R1 per liter more than other garages making them an expensive place to refuel / fill up compared to other garages. Their facilities on the other hand are very nice and their staff are helpful and friendly. So if you don't mind paying more than you should for diesel then atleast you can stretch your legs on their lawn or grab a burger at steers.

Overnight experience was quite safe, staff that knows there way around the area to guide you as this area connects you to the North,South,East and North of SA from the South. Dangerous to drive past at night ,this is your refreshment zone with a Vidae cafe that serves a wake up coffee for the dry journey ahead

Worst experience ever entered that store and the lady over the bar had a disgusting attitude. Told her to clean the portafilter and she bluntly said no .. never buying coffee there again that is not vida standard I know . Avoid that branch salty bitter coffe

Good rest stop Good coffee Wacky Wednesday chicken burgers were stiff. Dry and tasteless instead of being juicy and succulent.

It’s a very good place to take a rest and have your car fueled if you going up or down to Cape Town
