Staff are amazing, could use a new owner. Everyone is so kind but their fish are in a terrible way. I bought a sword tail and luckily I used a quarantine tank or that fish would have infected all my other fish
The staff are absolutely welcoming, friendly and helpful. Extremely informative. Lovely little pet store where you can get a few birds and fish. Alternatively the store is well stocked with other necessities.
Purchased a gold fish with the set up for my kid . Did everything as the staff explained. Three days later, the fish was belly up . Went back to the store. They explained that some of the fish was doing well . They gave me a second gold fish .. a week later that one was belly up as well . Disappointed
Disappointed, went to purchase equipment for my daughters hamster, purchased a wheel that was R120 more than my local shop I found afterwards....prices are ridiculous compared to other shops, make sure before you buy!
ANIMALS ARE BADLY KEPT. The birds wings have all been clipped, and they are clearly in distress calling out frantically, and two of them even run into the glass hurting themselves to get away or because they are bored. These birds are not getting adopted and their lives have become miserable and cruel, I come to the store monthly and always see the same animals, I hate to support Petland but they are the only store with leopard gecko food… The same applies for the rabbits. The animals do not have any enrichment for the amount of time they are kept here. It is clear that the workers do not care for the animals. It’s sad to see and petland should do better, or just STOP SELLING PETS. This is cruel to the animals and is clearly not good for the business because people can get happier, healthier animals elsewhere. You are putting animals lives in misery for a desperate attempt to get customers.
My boyfriend and I have 1 budgie (Gracie) for as long as we can remember, wanted to get her a buddy and came here and got another budgie.i was not told that he was not capable of eating seeds at the time, we picked it up on our own, went back and got baby bird formula, at first I didn't realize how many sick budgies were in the cage all together, some budgies had deformed beaks, while others were in 1 spot the whole duration, and some were walking around being budgies, with this it struck me that just before we got him he was eating a really old apple. we decided that we would take him to a vet, the next morning at 2 am. I woke up to check on them, and he wasn't responsive at the bottom of the cage, this was just less than a month in my care, we did everything to make sure baby was alright. but it's the neglect of PETLAND that got me, budgies are tiny and people sometimes forget that they have a life. this has left us with so much of pain. You don't get to play God. DO NOT KEEP HEALTHY BUDGIES WITH SICK ONES, MAYBE TRY HELPING SINCE IDK, YOU'RE A PETSTORE, NEXT TIME if you notice a budgie is sick and someone wants them, please advise them on it so that they have enough time to help, we were robbed of that, but I hope this helps. or pet land can help treat them and if helping them sounds abit too much then don't have them in your store POINT BLANK!!!
Hi , If anyone can help me ... I would like to know the prices of a parrot what do they range from? I'd also be interested in a African Grey not sure where to find them tho...
