High Season Farm Luxury Cottages & Venue

We stayed over the festive season for a week. It was extremely over priced for what you get. I wouldn’t call it luxury at all apart from the beds being very comfortable and the linen being nice. It is very out dated and in need of a major uplift, from the deco to even the crockery and glassware. The kitchen is tiny and not well equipped for a week stay with no counter space to make anything. Our dishwasher wasn’t working and took 4 days to replace. It is not pet friendly especially if you have well behaved dogs that you don’t keep permanently leashed. It’s impossible to keep them in your own yard as even a large golden retriever can fit under the farm poled fence. If you wanting to be away from road noise, be warned it’s very close to the road! We found the staff to be very unfriendly, especially house keeping. We will not be returning or recommending.

We loved staying at Wild Olive Cottage, with its own private garden, located on the beautiful, leafy High Season farm. The cottage was stocked with everything we needed to self-cater and braai, and it enjoyed magnificent views across the Hemel en Aarde valley and of the surrounding mountains. ||We were just minutes away from top wine farms such as Creation and Spookfontein and only 20 minutes from central Hermanus (where we watched a pod of dolphin from Fick's Tidal Pool).||Our son loved diving into the beautiful deep swimming pool on the farm. There was a playground and a lovely swing under the old oak tree. We spent ages playing with Sadie, the farm's border collie puppy. In the morning, we had tea on the patio made with High Season farm milk and served with homemade rusks. ||When we got back to Cape Town we realised that a treasured teddy had been forgotten in the bed sheets. Jani located it for us straight away and it arrived by courier at our house the next day. What an adventure for teddy, what a relief for us, and what amazing service from High Season! ||Thanks so much for having us!

We had the most wonderful stay in Oak Tree cottage. ||Its great for children, my 2 year old boy was offered to go on the tractor to feed the cows. We were visited by Peacocks every morning and the jungle gym was great fun. ||We ordered the breakfast box one morning and the produce was fresh and tasty! ||Thank you!! We will be back for sure!!

We had a family reunion weekend for my daughter’s birthday and it was the most perfect place to stay. It was really superior quality accommodation. The kitchens were extremely kitted out. Everything we needed was supplied. The farm setting was out of this world amazing, and incredibly beautiful. We will definitely be back.

Everything exceeded our expectations. Staff super friendly and checked in with us after our first night to ask if everything was okay. Cows come by for a visit, but can’t access your private garden. Pool was clean and well maintained. House was tidy and had everything we needed.

What a beautiful farm. I am always booking holidays for my family, but this was the best stay ever. The cottage has everything you can think of which makes it easier when travelling with kids including 30 seconds to keep them busy. The cottage is cosy with electric blankets, throws, hot water bottles, heater and fireplace. The shower gel smelled so amazing. Tasneem assisted me with the check-in. She was heartwarming, friendly and very informative. I have been to many establishments and let me tell you the staff is what makes people return. I will definitely return in the near future. It's a 5 star from me and my family. Oh and the views are breathtaking 🙂

We stayed in Oak Tree Cottage for the weekend, and we had a fantastic, comfortable stay. The cottage is very well kitted out and the staff are a pleasure to engage with.||||After checking out and already in the car on the way home, we received a call from High Season to say that my wife had forgotten some items of jewellery behind and that we could come collect it as they had now kept it in a safe place for her. We are truly grateful for this and believe that it speaks volumes about the credibility and integrity of the people who work at High Season.
