They are so fast with delivery and very descriptive on their website; regarding the items available to order. Not only was my online ordering quick and efficient, but they packaged my items so securely and cute! I loved the little extra notes and stickers on the box 📦 thank you from me and my fishies! What a delightful experience. Their website is informative and their product range is wide. Options for the more cost effective solutions and the "spoil" yourself and advanced setups. The delivery is also fast and effective with great communication on email and Whatsapp. Keep it up!!
This is a very positive review. My jack russel puppy can destroy a toy in 24 hours flat. He goes through toys weekly and it is killing my budget. This turtle lasted a solid 3 weeks before he managed to chew open the material and he has not managed to chew off pieces of the shell as yet. Even the bull terrier gets to "abuse" it and she has not destroyed it as yet. I am very impressed by the quality of this toy! It is made for heavy chewers! For this price, it is worth buying one a month to keep my puppy occupied. He has one in every colour. The photo shows post 3 weeks. I have removed the stuffing and now he plays with the shell and what's left of the material. So even in its destroyed state, it is still usable. I am so impressed!
Very Disappointed – Terrible Service I drove all the way from Pretoria after phoning Jungle Aquatics Pet Super Store to confirm they had the Hygger water meter in stock. I specifically asked about the Hygger brand and was told they had it. When I arrived, I found out they only had a different product that does only half the specs of the actual Hygger meter. It gets worse. When I asked them to show me how the product works, they refused. They told me they would only demonstrate it after I paid for it. So basically, I had to buy an expensive product without even knowing if it works properly. While I was standing at the counter ready to pay, I overheard one salesman telling another that the unit needs to be calibrated. Naturally, I asked if they could help me calibrate it. The answer? No. I then asked: if I pay for it, how are you going to show me how it works? They responded that they don’t offer that service at all. So they expect customers to spend a lot of money on technical equipment with zero support, zero explanation, and zero assistance. When I explained that it’s an expensive item and I need to know how it works before buying it, I was told to leave the shop. Absolutely shocking customer service. Wasted trip, wasted time, and extremely unprofessional behavior. I will not be supporting this store again.
I have supported this pet store for many years because it is a local store I truly valued and naturally would want to since it makes sense to have them continue for many years. Greeting customers when they walk in is expected, but great service is defined by how staff respond when a customer has a query or a concern. Unfortunately, my experience today with Shival was extremely disappointing. His attitude was arrogant and dismissive, showing no understanding of basic customer service or engagement. I asked a simple and reasonable question about why the fairly expensive Hikari Koi food which was I was looking for in large size pellets was repackaged into a clear, unbranded bag. As a customer, I have every right to verify that what I am purchasing is genuine, especially when the packaging is not standard. Rather than listening or explaining, he responded with irritation, showing no willingness to understand my concern. He offered no assurance or guarantee simply we damaged the bags and rebagged them, do you want it or not. This was not an engagement which was professional and a great experience. His focus was only on whether I wanted it or not,with no attempt to listen to me. He rebuffed my question with a mouth full of heavy breathing and walking away, saying he doesn’t need this. He displayed the proverbial short fuse. To be clear: 1. Customers have the right to question any product that is not in its original packaging, especially when it is costly and doesn’t look professional and of the high quality you would come to expect. 2. Product integrity matters. When a manufacturer packages an item, it is sealed, protected from contamination, and marked with its correct shelf-life and labeling. Once any bag is opened and the product is transferred to another container, freshness, shelf life, and labeling accuracy are compromised. Not to mention the handling with hands or other utensils. Repackaging in this way does not meet current labeling requirements and raises ethical concerns. 3. If a bag is damaged or opened by staff, the ethical practice is to record a write-off, not rebag and resell it. It’s no longer meets the high standard that the manufacturer intended. For a business that aims to present a professional image, this is unacceptable. When a customer is raising a legitimate questions, Shival should uphold professionalism, maintain composure, and engage respectfully. Heavy breathing, irritation, and refusing to listen is not acceptable customer service. Sadly, based on today’s experience, I can no longer support this establishment.
What a pleasure! Super-quick ordering and delivery, and the product is simple, effective and easy to use. There was no problem setting up, installing. I am happy with the operation - it does what is says it will do. For the first time in a while, our natural pool's bottom is pretty clean. Thanks to the Jungle Aquatics team, great service.
Excellent service from the Jungle Aquatics team. My African Grey is on a special food, it was out of stock. I was notified via email that the food was back in stock, I ordered within 10 min of reading the email, paid for the food and as per online orders waited for the tracking no. To my surprise the order was packed and ship on the same day. Received my order the following day. I highly recommend Jungle Aquatics as your go to pet store.
