Oak Manor Boutique Guest House

This stunning venue has neat, well kept and equipped rooms with their own kitchenette and bathroom, situated right next to Newlands Cricket stadium , Newlands station and a few minutes stroll to the centre of Claremont. Great for short visits or a longer more languid adventure. Pool on site and the friendliest most helpful staff!

The room was beautiful and comfortable. Lots of space. The breakfast that was included was great. The only thing that I struggled with was the noise from banging cabinets during the night till 2am and it started up again at 6:30am. It was pretty loud as sound seemed to travel easily through the walls. Pack your earplugs and you'll be fine.

Sadly the accommodation we arrived to was quite different to the photos displayed on the website. I had the impression that I had booked a room with a garden view but it his was not the case. The room was damp and grimy, it could have done with a good deep clean. The shower and oven were dirty. We had to pay a late check in fee as we were on a late flight. This detail was not on the website. There was only coffee grounds available with no French press.

A little dissapointed here. A nice appartment complex, with private parking (thats very nice) and a small pool. We had whattapp communication (thats easy) but in the end, needed to wait 30min, to get into the room. But it is located 20min out of the city (it was booked for us) I'm not sure we can walk freely over there, during the evening, but uber/bolt is a good alternitive. Good and had bed, but renovation is needed: - the lights acted weird. - the heating didn't worked - on a cloudy day, no hot water for 2 persons

Centrally located to reach most areas of Cape Town. Easy to find, secure parking, several restaurants within walking distance, self-catering option, all essential equipment provided. ||The keys were easy to obtain from the staff on duty on arrival, and no further interaction was required during our stay, making it a very stress free stay

Best place to stay, lovely host and safe! Great location, very comfortable beds.

Had a fantastic week's stay at Oak Manor. Lovely comfortable sleeping area, very clean, with all facilities needed. Excellent location and very friendly owner & staff. Would highly recommend, and will definitely use when I visit again. John (Ireland)
