I just want to say a huge, heartfelt thank you to Dr Luca, Paige, and the entire team at False Bay Vet. I have a female German Shepherd who is incredibly loving, gentle, and devoted within our family, but she is also highly reactive and extremely protective of me. Vet visits are one of the most stressful experiences I face as a dog owner, especially after a very bad experience at another practice in the past, which only made her anxiety and reactivity worse. From the moment I spoke to the team at False Bay Vet, they listened. I explained my concerns in advance, and they worked with me to come up with a plan that actually helped. Even when there was a bit of a hairy moment during our most recent visit, Dr Luca remained calm, patient, and professional — and that meant more to me than I can put into words. I know my dog can look scary when she’s stressed, barking or growling, but what truly sets this team apart is that they understand behaviour, they don’t shout, panic, or react in ways that escalate the situation. They genuinely care about animals and treat them (and their owners) with kindness, respect, and compassion. Vet visits are still incredibly stressful for me, but knowing I’m supported by a team who truly get it makes all the difference. I’m so deeply grateful to have found False Bay Vet, and I honestly can’t thank them enough for their patience, understanding, and humanity. From the bottom of my heart — thank you🐾💙

Best vet in the world! Just a word of warning for some of the negative reviews, there was a change in ownership a few years ago (although I was pretty happy back then too). Dr Luca and his team are incredible and Dr Luca is super empathetic. We had to put my cat down after poisoning and he held such beautiful space for us. The team followed up and checked in on our mental health. Beyond that, my other cat has been going there for years. He has a heart issue that they care for meticulously. The admin and service is great: a WhatsApp line to ask questions, request appointments and share pics. Really stellar team.

Went for a complete check of my new street dog. Expected a blood test and saliva sample to be taken fm(etc). At least. Besides some touching around, a "the dog looks good" statement and a bit over Rand 1.000 not much happened! Took about 5-7 minutes. Wouldn’t recommend!

The staff at False Bay Vet genuinely care about your pets. I’m convinced that my fur-kids are their favorite patients, and I wouldn’t even mind if every client felt the same way. It just shows the personal level of care and engagement you get here.

Sometimes I forget that other people such as the team at False Bay Vet, have empathy for our fur babies. I experienced this through how gentle and kind they treated my dog and I. As distressed as I was with her aging condition, they were so kind and helpful in every way I can't even explain. I have never seen such a wonderful team before, so I give a 5 and if there were 6 to 10 stars , it would be 100%. Thank you thank you thank-you!!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

Didnt go to this vet for a while due to previous ownership. Gave it another chance when new owner/vet took over, and very glad i did! Front staff are amazing; real animal lovers, and the veterinary care is excellent

Dr Luca had such a calming presence with our cat and we were very happy with the treatment plan. He took the time to get to know us and was patient with my two kids as well. Thanks Dr Luca and team!
