Saved my little chihuahua experiencing heart failure. He’s back home after 4 days of 24/7 care at the hospital and doing so well. Wonderful and caring staff from reception to the doctors and nurses. So grateful to have more time with my baby ❤️

I took my cat here after he fell from the balcony and broke his leg. They were able to perform a successful operation to reset his bones and we are so happy to see our cat again. They are very professional, understanding and helpful.

Good day all and a Blessed 2026. Sadly I had to euthanize my beloved 12year old Pitbull due to illness on the 3rd January 2026. This was an extremely emotional and tough decision. I called the receptionist that afternoon from work, she explained all relevant information and cost. The compassion and patience of all staff made the process bearable. The fact that the hospital is open 24hrs on a Saturday as well was convenient. Not to mention the cremation packages offered. Thank you Westville Veterinary Hospital and staff for the outstanding service provided.

Worst experience at Westville Vet Hospital We took our sick girl to Westville Vet Hospital after she had been unwell for a week. We first went to a vet in Chatsworth who couldn’t find the cause, so we decided to take her to Westville vet hospital because she was getting worse From the start, the experience was disappointing. Our girl was aggressive because she was sick and scared yes, she is a Pitbull, but she is normally the sweetest dog. We explained her history clearly, including that she has trauma from a grooming incident and struggles with FOMO. The doctor asked us to put a muzzle on her, which we did ourselves. It took time because she was distressed, and there was no assistance offered by the staff during this process. The doctor left the room and told us to ask the reception to call him when we are done Even after the muzzle was on, the Dr Tom Cilliers was still visibly afraid to handle her. Bloods were taken, and then we were given two options: 1. Leave her there for further tests, but we were told it was high risk for the doctor and staff so this is not an option anymore ( the Dr refused to admit her) 2. Take an injection and tablets and go home and try to give her the meds This left us shocked — we trusted that vets are trained to handle sick and fearful animals, especially in a hospital setting. We chose the injections and tablets because we felt pressured and uncertain. That night, our girl became worse. We had no choice but to drive all the way to Ballito Vet Hospital, they helped us with our girl even though she was scared and being aggressive they even put on the muzzle . They immediately knew what was wrong, handled her professionally and confidently, admitted her without hesitation, and she had to undergo emergency surgery. Thanks to Ballito Vet Hospital, she survived. Westville Vet Hospital is a no for me . They need better-trained doctors who know how to handle Pitbulls and other strong breeds when they are sick, scared, and in pain — not turn them away I would not recommend this vet hospital whatsoever

We recently had to rush our 2-year-old Shar Pei, Lylla, to Westville Veterinary Hospital and I cannot express enough gratitude to Dr. Rozanne Buitendach and the entire team. They acted quickly to diagnose her and perform surgery, and thanks to their incredible skill and care, our girl is now on the road to recovery. The communication, empathy and genuine love they have for animals truly blew us away. Dr. Rozanne went above and beyond throughout the process and continues to do so during Lylla’s recovery. Thank you for saving our Lylla bug and for treating her with such kindness and dedication. I have so much respect and appreciation for everyone at this hospital, you’re all absolute angels! 💛
