QC Aquatics

I met QC by chance after scouring the retail market for specific aquatics. What a fool I was for not meeting him sooner, not only would I have saved a bucket load of money with my various tank setups had I purchased from QC in the first place - but more so, QC thus far has been the only Aquatics dealer that has gone the extra mile to source the livestock is was looking for. To be clear, completely legal livestock, just not the common pet shop and retail aquatic species everyone has. Awesome Whatsapp support and although he does not ship orders directly, courier collection is easily arranged and he goes the extra mile to ensure livestock well packed for their trip. If you're not shopping at QC, you're doing it wrong.

What started off with goldfish in a bowl and getting messed around, I came across QC Aquatics in Goodwood who offers the best expertise, services and unbeatable prices. What more can you ask for. 4 months later and Quentin has assisted and guided me in successfully setting up 4 tanks, from a community tank (livestock from QC), a Betta tank (QC) and and a Cichlid tank. QC Aquatics comes highly recommended with NO disappointment. Thanks Q

Excellent service, phenomenal pricing. Located in a convenient area, for travelling purposes(also you can order through QC and send an uber to collect your parcels) for convenience. If you enjoy the hobby QC is where you would want to go.

I’ve had a fantastic experience with QC Aquatics. The shop is clean, well-organized, and offers a wide variety of freshwater fish and aquarium supplies. The staff are knowledgeable and approachable, always ready to give professional advice on setups, nutrition, and maintenance. I especially appreciate the range of accessories available, from filtration systems and heaters to decorative elements. QC Aquatics is a reliable choice for both beginners and experienced aquarists. Their focus on quality and customer service makes them stand out among fish shops in Cape Town. Highly recommended for anyone looking to build or maintain a thriving aquarium.

I can't recommend QC Aquatics highly enough! As an aquatic enthusiast, I've shopped around at many places in my area, but Quentin at QC Aquatics stands head and shoulders above the rest. What sets QC Aquatics apart is the unbeatable combination of the lowest prices in the region, premium quality livestock, and comprehensive aquarium supplies. But what truly makes this business special is Quentin's willingness to share his expertise. With over 30 years of experience, he doesn't just sell you fish and accessories – he provides invaluable advice that has helped me maintain healthy, thriving aquariums. The quality of the livestock is outstanding. Every fish is carefully sourced and properly quarantined, ensuring you're bringing home healthy specimens. Whether you need community fish or exotic species, the selection is diverse and well-maintained. Even though I have several aquarium shops closer to home, I gladly make the 8km drive to Goodwood every time. The superior service, expert guidance, and competitive pricing make it absolutely worth the trip. QC Aquatics has earned my loyalty and my enthusiastic referrals – I recommend them to every aquarist I meet. If you're looking for the best prices, quality livestock, and genuine expertise in the Greater Cape Town area, QC Aquatics is the only place you need to visit. Support this outstanding local business – you won't regret it!

From the moment I walked in, the service was knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about aquariums. You can immediately see this isn’t just a shop — it’s run by people who truly care about fishkeeping and doing things properly. The livestock is healthy, tanks are clean, and everything is well maintained. I really appreciated the honest advice — no upselling, just solid guidance tailored to what I actually needed. Whether you’re a beginner setting up your first tank or experienced and looking for something specific, they really know their stuff. It’s rare to find this level of expertise and customer care these days. QC Aquatics has definitely become my go-to for anything aquarium related. Highly, highly recommended.

Owner was extremely helpful and accommodating. Also gave me advice on what i needed and how to care for my fish. He also offered me after hours support when I felt stuck with my tank. Added me to his personal group of fellow aquarium enthusiast who also welcomed me and offer support and tips. His products are of high quality and value. Also throws in alot of freebies of things you think that you will not need but realize afterwards this is exactly what you need. All products are reasonably priced for any enthusiast pockets. Thank you QC.
